We promote the collaboration and education of emerging brokers in the Chicago commercial real estate industry

The Young Office Brokers Association (YOBA) of Chicago is an organization created for active real estate professionals with less than 5 years brokerage experience in the commercial real estate industry, both in tenant representation and in landlord representation, in the downtown Chicago and suburban markets.

The Mission of YOBA is to provide a pro-bono platform for young Chicago office brokers to network, share market knowledge, and develop relationships with counterparts in the commercial real estate industry. Furthermore, YOBA aims to provide an educational opportunities in a casual, social environment and serves as a feeder program for the city's larger organzation COLBA, the Chicago Office Leasing Brokers Association.

YOBA was founded in 2002 by Phil Sheridan of Hamilton Partners and Jeb Scherb of Ameritus. Today, YOBA is led by Jessica O'Hara of CBRE and Jason Houze of NKF and complemented by the generous support from our sponsors.

If you are just entering the commercial real estate industry in Chicago, YOBA is the perfect place to learn, meet, and grow your professional network.
